Dear Clients of Chicago Server,

At the last minute, we have managed to fix the problem and avoided a subnet change. For those who have already changed your DNS IPs, please change them back to the original as soon as possible to insure minimal downtime. Thank you for your patience and we appreciate your business.

Regards,
The AcuNett Team

hey...since the upgrade last night, i've noticed that i no longer have any reverse mx records listed and that my mailserver, mail.jchampion.com is not working.

i cannot connect to it except through horde. can y'all please look into it?

and what does this mean in english?

"ERROR: One or more of the nameservers listed at the parent servers are not listed as NS records at your nameservers. The problem NS records are:
ns1.acunett.com.
ns2.acunett.com."

Check your domain's DNS, see if the NS records are listed as ns1.acunett.com and ns2.acunett.com or ns1.yourdnserver.com and ns2.yourdnsserver.com

that is what it is set to right now...ns1.acunett.com and ns2.acunett.com

Here's the problem:

In your domain registrar, you listed ns1.acunett.com and ns2.acunett.com as your nameservers

http://reports.internic.net/cgi-bin/whois?whois_nic=jchampion.com&type=domain

In PLESK however, You listed the nameservers as ns1.jchampion.com and ns2.jchampion.com

jchampion. com. NS ns1. jchampion. com.

jchampion. com. NS ns2. jchampion. com.

You need to change that to

jchampion. com. NS ns1. acunett. com.

jchampion. com. NS ns2. acunett. com.

I also removed the cname record for mail.jchampion.com and replaced it with an A record going to the IP 66.227.96.120 (one of the few bugs PLESK had)

aha!

wait a sec..ronny...question...

there is no edit button only a remove button. so i have to remove both ns1.jchampion.com and ns2.jchampion.com and replace with ns1.acunett.com and ns2.acunett.com...right?

Just noticed on bookangles.com that I'm having the same problem imbored had. DNS report says:
ERROR: One or more of the nameservers listed at the parent servers are not listed as NS records at your nameservers. The problem NS records are:
ns1.acunett.com.
ns2.acunett.com.

But I believe mine are set up the way you told imbored to do it. What's the problem? I'd send this to Help Desk, but thought it interesting in light of the above discussion.
