Hi,

I have a number of questions:

1. Do you accept payments via PayPal?
2. If your uptime isn't 99.7%, what happens? How is the uptime measured (over what period)?
3. What mailing list management software is used?
4. How long after ordering is an account set up?
5. Your demo control panel logins both return 'password incorrect' when I try them, where can I see a demo?
6. Is there somewhere I can see a phpinfo() output, and a list of installed Perl modules?
7. Will you add perl modules / php features on request?
8. Do you operate PHP in safe mode?
9. Do you have an MSN messenger ID I can use to ask further questions?

Many thanks.

Andy

Andy,

1. Do you accept payments via PayPal?
yes.

2. If your uptime isn't 99.7%, what happens? How is the uptime measured (over what period)?
We measure uptime monthly. If we exceed our limit, you hosting is free that month. :)

3. What mailing list management software is used?
Plesk.

4. How long after ordering is an account set up?
within 24 hours, usually less then 6 hours.

5. Your demo control panel logins both return 'password incorrect' when I try them, where can I see a demo?
Did you use the demo off our website?

6. Is there somewhere I can see a phpinfo() output, and a list of installed Perl modules?
we use phpMyAdmin built into Plesk for php management. We can get a list of installed perl mods for you upon request.

7. Will you add perl modules / php features on request?
yes.

8. Do you operate PHP in safe mode?
yes, but safe mode can be turned off for any particular domains upon request.

9. Do you have an MSN messenger ID I can use to ask further questions?
Yes, you can chat with Ronny on MSN via ronnyfang@hotmail.com

Hope these answers help and look forward to having you join our community soon.

Hi,

Thanks for answering, a few more questions:

1. Are paypal payments catered for during the ordering process? Do you use the paypal subscriptions mechanism for taking the payments each month?

2. By Plesk mailing lists, I assume you mean mail groups? So not a 'true' mailing list with subscribe / unsubscribe options?

3. Yes, I was trying to access the demo from your website. I was primarily trying to work out what 'mailing lists' meant, but you've answered that now. I am fairly familiar with Plesk.

4. You've misunderstood my php question. phpMyAdmin is for managing MySQL databases, not php. phpinfo is a PHP function which shows the complete setup of PHP on a host.

5. I would appreciate a list of installed perl modules. Alternatively, installing the 'perldiver' script is an easy way to do this.

Thanks for your answers.

Yes, we use paypal subscriptions monthly for monthly payments through paypal. We do not have a paypal option at signup so you will need to email orders@acunett.com requesting to sign up with paypal and they will send you a payment link.

2. By Plesk mailing lists, I assume you mean mail groups? So not a 'true' mailing list with subscribe / unsubscribe options?
No, we do not have any mailing list software where users can subscribe/unsubscribe but we can help you install scripts which server the same purpose. :)

3. Yes, I was trying to access the demo from your website. I was primarily trying to work out what 'mailing lists' meant, but you've answered that now. I am fairly familiar with Plesk.
The demo on the website is currently down. Sorry for that, but we can set up a demo for you if you like.

4. You've misunderstood my php question. phpMyAdmin is for managing MySQL databases, not php. phpinfo is a PHP function which shows the complete setup of PHP on a host.
Yes, www.acunett.com/phpinfo.php

5. I would appreciate a list of installed perl modules. Alternatively, installing the 'perldiver' script is an easy way to do this.
Okay. We will do this sometime today.

When e-mailing to order via PayPal, what information do you require? If the e-mail the only thing needed, or do I fill out the order form for the plan and then send the e-mail?

Finally (hopefully :)), with your summer special, what would be the charge to increase the number of domains?

Thanks.

Andy

You can upgrade to the unlimited license, or buy an upgrade or addon :).
