Is there anyway to tell my server to bounce back or not accept emails from particular addresses. Spam Assasin is horrible (kills 75% of my legit mail) and setting up my non-standard email application can't process rules. One spammer (from 2 addresses) sends me 50 graphic bulky spams per day. Can Rules be set up on the server level?

i'm not sure if you have the abillity to do this in cpanel or not but there is a list of asian based servers, the worst spam offenders, and if you can find a way to filter any and all email originating from these places, you'll see the number of spams you get decrease dramatically.

unfortunately, i dont' think acunett can add this many ip's to their block due to other client's requests...

here's the list...
http://www.rhyolite.com/anti-spam/ipaddrs.html

i wish every isp in this country would disallow connections to and from those telecoms/isps.

we would see a dramatic downturn in the amount of spam we are getting.

Find out what IPs the addresses are coming from and we will take care of them for you.

I didn't want to bother you while that Dallas fiasco was going on but now I'll post. I get a lot of randoms but there's lucklily only one that consistently piles on the spams. I don't know much about IP addresses but please block anything coming from 4moxio.com (also moxio.com and moxio.net, or anything containing "moxio"). Of course if this is possible to implement on my end, just instruct me on what I need to do. Thanks.

We need the IP addresses rather than the domain name because domain names can be hidden and replaced with dummy names. Do you have a copy of these emails? Forward one to me or PM me with it. :)

if you copy the headers you can paste them into http://www.spamcop.net and it'll tell you a lot about that hunk of spam.

if you really want to block them...then block 65.60.35.0/24 for moxio's dns and mx servers. (i think that's the proper notation- i haven't used it in a while).

btw...no one here hates spammers worse than i do.

they annoy the heck outta me and my customers because we all just want to be, like all Texans, left alone.

they hide in countries in asia, s. america, and eastern europe because they know the people running the isps in those countries care more about money than anything else.
